Activities

ASB participants will spend Family Day at the Boys and Girls Club assisting staff with activities for youth visiting on Carnival Day.  For the remainder of the week (Tuesday – Friday), ASB participants will work alongside staff and clients of Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) on a campaign to promote YOU's social enterprise - You Made It Cafe.  In the past, the campaign consisted of a soup tasting event at Covenant Garden Market, visiting local businesses with order sheets for soups and preserves from YOU Made It Cafe, and making order deliveries at the end of the week.

Goals

To provide students with an opportunity to learn about the intentional programs and services of Youth Opportunities Unlimited and the Boys and Girls Club of London, connect with staff and clients of the organizations and see the caring and active spaces that have been created for youth from the community.

Accommodations

ASB London participants will stay in their own rooms/homes.

Meals

ASB London will enjoy lunch at YOU Made It Café Tuesday – Friday. On Monday, the group will be responsible for bringing their own lunch. The group will eat dinner at a local restaurant on Thursday, but will be responsible for their own dinners the rest of the week.

Other Activities

Participating in ASB London not only gives you a great opportunity to serve in your local community, but it also provides a chance to explore some other areas of the city, such as Covent Garden Market and Boler Mountain.
