Full-time undergraduate students who have completed their first year (or more) of study and wish to participate in a Western sanctioned International Learning experience, such as ASB, can apply for the Fairmount Foundation International Learning Bursary.  The award is valued at $1000 or $2000 and is based on financial need.  Student must submit an award application available on the Office of the Registrar website, by October 31 to be considered for 2017.

If you are a full-time, third year, main campus student that has a cumulative average of 80% after second year, you will automatically receive the International Learning Award of $1000 to help finance your international learning experience.  More information about the International Learning Award and the mandatory request form can be found here.

Main campus ASB participants are eligible to apply for Global Opportunities Awards offered through Western International. Detailed information regarding applying for Global Opportunities Awards can be found here. The deadline to apply is November 15, 2016.  Please note - funding decisions and notifications will be made in January 2017.

In order to improve accessibility and expand opportunities for involvement in Alternative Spring Break, and with a generous commitment of funds from RBC, we are excited to be able to offer financial assistance to selected 2017 program applicants.  Students must complete the ASB Award Application on CareerCentral in order to be considered.  It is mandatory that students complete their Student Financial Profile in their Student Centre account.  The ASB Award Application due date is Friday, October 28, 2016

Students will not receive funding that exceeds the cost of their ASB experience.  Please review the eligibility requirements of all awards, and take into account the cost of the ASB experiences when applying for funding.
